"A new kind of Christian" was given to me as a gift, and I'm glad it was. Thank you for being so honest and transparent in...
...your journey in discovering what, as you put it, a new kind of Christian is. As well, I want to thank you for being a catalyst in making me think, in re-examining my very modern paradigm, and realizing some hard truths about my own ignorance.
I want to especially comment on two sections of the first book (I am in the process of purchasing the second and anxiously awaiting the 3rd one to arrive in Canada)
1st on the concept of "why can't a buddhist or muslim be Christian" I so agree that we as a culture try to evangelize by giving all the answers and trying to transform the culture rather than allow Christ to redeem it. And how our model of evanglism IS all about the answers, rather than asking questions. The benefit of asking the questions freed the unregenerated life to go on a journey of discovery.
Second, the concept that the "church as a catalyst for Kingdom, for the good of the the World". I can't even tell you how much this little sentence means to me. It is the heartbeat of the Father's love.
Answer: Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate it!
